City of Walls is the collaborative effort of Abede Lovelace and Shaun Noel. Abede represents the visual end of the series, while Shaun represents the literary part. City of Walls represents their third creative endeavor as a team. They met while working for an up-and-coming website company. One day at the office it came up in conversation that Shaun was a writer and was working to break into comics. At the same time, Abede was attending school in order to draw comics for a living and a dynamic duo was formed. The idea was put forth that the two should collaborate on a comic strip which unfortunately never materialized. Shortly thereafter Abede approached Shaun on working together on a pitch for DC. After a lot of meetings and various pieces of artwork, this project did not come to fruition. However, having now had the experience of working with each other the two realized they had the chemistry to give it another go. A few other projects would come and go before the team came up with City of Walls. Both have moved on the various careers professionally and have grown tremendously as people and creators.
After completing their first book, the team received tremendously positive feedback and experienced many opportunities Much of which were completely unexpected. Magazine interviews and discussions with movie producers to name a few. Also the team is no longer a team of two. Other people have signed up and contributed to their success. They include Bianca Jones, Anthony Lopez, Latoya Burris, Khary Randolph, Alecia Rodriguez, Alessia Zambonin and inker extraordinaire Mark Morales. Issue after issue the team�s skill improve and the talent shines through.
